Thulecraft Open 2010/11

The Northern Lights in Brae was the venue for the Thulecraft Open this year with a turnout of 37 men in the draw, after the early rounds the quarter final winners were Steven Struthers who beat Tommy Watt, Neal Redfern who beat Richard Hughson, Scott Johnson who beat team mate James Manson, and Roger Irvine who beat George MacKay.In the semi's Steven's good run came to an end in a close match losing 5-3 to Neal and in the other semi Scott ran out of steam losing 5-0 to Roger. The final after a slow couple of legs burst into life with some great darts the highlight being the last leg with Neal checking out 161 to win the shield 5-3.

High checkouts on the night were Neal Redfern 161 (highest of the season so far), Tommy Watt 154, Andy Glen 136, Roger Irvine 116, George MacKay 102.

Also well done to Vikki Scott who won the womens shield, and Iris Polson for the highest checkout 117.
